In leadership development you may be asking people to consider another perspective:
Have everyone raise their hand above their head and point to the sky. Describe that their hand is a helicopter. They are to move their index finger in a circle clockwise similar to the motion of a helicopter. Tell them the helicopter is beginning to land and to start lowering their hand as they continue to move their finger in a clockwise direction. When they reach the level of their waist, ask them to look and see if they are still turning their hand in a clockwise direction. Watch the result. Although the motion was clockwise when it was above their head, from another perspective (waist level) we are turning our finger counter clockwise.
This illustrates to employees that their perspective on something depends on where they are. Activities for fun in the workplace like this one increase productivity.
