This
fun, interactive session stimulates participants to become
more effective in their business skills by learning presentation skills. Practical, effective tools to improve success
in all areas of public speaking will be learned. Video taping
of short individual audience presentations with immediate
review and analysis is included. Robin's unique approach is
to build skills and confidence. As with all of her programs,
you will be "Having fun while getting it done."
Presentations are not difficult but the
fear of public speaking must be overcome. Building the speaker's confidence has
proven to increase speaking skills dramatically. The use of
audience involvement activities and games for presentation skills demonstrate the
significant points necessary for effective presentations.
Using improvisational acting techniques where people learn
to be more spontaneous and creative make Robin's programs
really work.
The improvisational acting techniques are used to strengthen
the ability to communicate creatively. The Wall Street Journal
recently reported that classes in improvisation are becoming
very popular with business professionals to teach them how
to loosen up, lighten up and keep ahead of the game.
It teaches people to learn to improvise when plans, tools
and resources fail.
All of the important skill elements to write an outline for a presentation
will be taught. For example, the presentation can be organized
by any of the following four methods:
time
sequence, eg. steps in securing a small business line
of credit;
function,
eg. describing what a financial product can do;
structure,
eg. how services operate/interrelate;
deduction
from principles, eg. compounding of interest over time.
To build credibility for significant points the presenter
can use definitions, descriptions, explanations, facts and
authoritative opinions. Dos, donts and dealing
with dissenting opinions are also be covered.
The audience involvement activities help participants to understand
their own behavioral style and how it affects their ability
to communicate their message. The activities are fun-with-a-purpose.
