Employee Retention through Intellectual Stimulation
Based on a nationwide survey, Generation X highly values positive relationships with colleagues, interesting work and continuous opportunities for learning. The survey found that 77 percent of Gen Xers said they would quit their job if offered increased intellectual stimulation at another company. Fifty-one percent said they would change jobs for the opportunity to telecommute. A key to keeping Gen Xers happy, according to the books authors, is to be supportive of employees desires to have lives outside of work. According to a Jan. 20 article on CNNMoney.com.
