Getting Engaged by Having a Best Friend
The Gallup Organization has surveyed over 5 million workers over 35 years searching for what magic makes some employees engaged and others disengaged.
They've uncovered some likely reasons: they receive regular praise and are given an opportunity to do what they do best every day. But what they uncovered about having a best friend at work is:
Of the workers who strongly agree that they have a best friend at work, 56% are engaged. And among those who do not have a best friend at work only 8% are engaged, 63% are not engaged and 29% are actively disengaged.
What to do? Have a fun training session with Robin and help people learn about each other's values and interests. They may just find a best friend at work.
