Company still having fun . . . three years later!

. . . People STILL talk about that conference -- 3 years later.  You definitely made a lasting impression.  Things have really gotten better and I do think part of that is because of that conference.  People to seem to be leaning more toward their "kinder, gentler" natures which makes it better for everyone.
